Decorating with a View....

Many of condos/lofts downtown Denver have a view and in a lot of cases people will pay big money for it. Often when clients walk into a home with floor to ceiling windows the first question they ask is, "Where will our furniture go?". It can be a daunting task especially when you 'lose' not one but two walls to windows.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you are decorating your condo with a view:

Keep the color scheme neutral. The view should be the focal point of the home- paint, wallpaper,  and patterns will distract from the view.
Furniture should have clean lines. Bulky furniture will deter the eye from the view.
Move the furniture to the middle of the room. This goes against our natural instinct, we often will use the wall as the parameter of the room. With a view, you have to create a parameter of your own, often away from the wall.
What other tips do you have while decorating with a view?
